D Las Vegas Sportsbook Review

D Las Vegas Sportsbook Review

The D Las Vegas made its move in 2012 when the new owners rebranded the downtown casino and completed a $22-million renovation. The Irish theme of the 600-room hotel was replaced with a more contemporary feel and includes dancing dealers at table games. The property, located in the eastern end of the Fremont Street Experience, is owned by Derek and Greg Stevens. The second floor of the casino has a “Vintage Vegas” theme and includes the William Hill Sports Book.

Positive Points

  • Another betting option on Fremont Street Experience.
  • Easy to make a bet with little traffic in the area.
  • All the sports betting basics are covered here.

Negative Points

  • Very small venue with seating for about 20 guests.
  • Book located on second floor in midst of other noisy gaming.
  • There’s nothing extravagant about this sports book at all.

The D Las Vegas Sportsbook

More than 100,000 visitors check out the Fremont Street Experience in “Old Vegas” every day. The D is one of the few hotels on this unique downtown attraction.

In late 2013, the D became the first casino in the world to accept bitcoin for hotel rooms, restaurants and gift shop items. The first and second floors of the casino — which used to be called Fitzgeralds — are packed with gaming options, including slot machines, table games and the William Hill Sports Book.

D Las Vegas Address

  • 301 Fremont St.

D Las Vegas Hours

  • Mon. to Thurs, 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

If you’re looking to make a bet on all the major sports, travel up the escalator to the second floor. Among all the slot excitement, sports players will find what amounts to little more than a kiosk with seating for about 20 people and a few betting windows off to the side. This tiny sports book is located right beside the Vue Bar.

This area has less than a dozen televisions available for viewing and another bank of TVs with the latest odds. The limited seating is adequate but certainly not luxurious.

Drinks are available, but you have to be a player to a complimentary beverage.
