Wimbledon Odds 2019: Final Four

Let’s have a quick look at the current Wimbledon future odds:

Men’s side

  • Novak Djokovic -150
  • Rafael Nadal +175
  • Roger Federer +225
  • Roberto Bautista Agut +1500

Women’s side

  • Serena Williams +100
  • Simona Halep +175
  • Elina Svitolina +600
  • Barbara Strycova +1000

Big Three Rule

Roger Federer. Rafael Nadal. Novak Djokovic.

The Big Three have combined to win the past 10 Grand Slam tournaments, and their dominance at Wimbledon has been nothing short of spectacular.

It’s very likely one of these tennis superstars will celebrate on the men’s side of the 2019 Wimbledon Championships since they have captured 14 of the last 16 titles at the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club.

Djokovic (-150) is the defending champion and current favorite to earn his fifth Wimbledon title (Wimbledon Odds 2019 provided by Bovada).

“Nadal, Federer, and myself, in a way we go onto next level in terms of tennis and focus,” Djokovic said after his quarter-final victory. “We’re very dedicated to these tournaments.”

Two-time winner Nadal (+175) is the second choice in the Wimbledon Odds, while eight-time champion Federer (+225) is listed third on the Wimbledon Betting Odds in the Grand Slam tournament which started on July 1 and concludes with the men’s championship on Center Court on July 14.

Seven-time champion Serena Williams (+100) heads the Wimbledon Women’s Odds. She is the top pick to win the women’s championship on July 13. Simona Halep (+175) is the second choice followed by Elina Svitolina (+600) and Barbara Strycova (+1000).

Williams

Serena Favored on Women’s Side

Upsets have been the news of the day at the All England Club as all of the top seeds have failed to reach the semifinals, which will be played on Thursday, July 11.

The No. 1 seed in the women’s bracket, Ashleigh Barty, lost in the fourth round, while defending champion Angelique Kerber made an early exit in the second round.

#7 Simona Halep -225 vs. #8 Elina Svitolina +175

The 27-year-old Halep has been here once before at Wimbledon. The Romanian lost in the semifinals in 2014. Now, she gets another chance to reach the finals against the 24-year-old Svitolina.

Halep, who has one Grand Slam title to her credit after winning the French last year, has only lost one set in five matches this year at Wimbledon, while the road for Svitolina has been a lot bumpier. Halep lost a set in her second-round match, while Svitolina has lost two sets and been pushed to an extra game in two other sets.

Halep has an edge in experience in this match over the Ukrainian pro as Svitolina has never reached a Grand Slam semifinal in her career. In seven lifetime starts at Wimbledon, Svitolina has only reached the fourth round once.

However, the hopes of a nation will be riding with her as Svitolina is the first Ukrainian woman to reach the semifinals of a major since the nation declared its independence from the Soviet Union in 1991.

Pick — Halep (-225) has a lot of experience on the big stage. It doesn’t hurt that she’s a fan favorite as well.

#11 Serena Williams -425 vs. Barbara Strycova +300

Williams, who turned pro in 1995, has never lost against the upset-minded Strycova. The 37-year-old superstar last beat the Czech pro at the 2017 Australian Open en route to her 23rd Grand Slam title.

Williams, arguably the greatest women tennis player of all time, has not played as much this season due to injuries. It’s the only factor stopping her from winning her eighth title here. But her blistering serves and lethal backhands still show she’s the queen of the court.

“I definitely feel a lot more pressure as I got older,” Williams said. “Now that I am past older, I feel a little bit less pressure.”

This marks Strycova’s first major semifinal appearance. Her previous best result at Wimbledon was a quarterfinal run in 2014.

Make no mistake: The 33-year-old veteran deserves to be here this year as she’s knocked off four seeded players. Obviously, Strycova is not expected to win against an overwhelming favorite like Williams. But that could certainly work to her advantage as Strycova has nothing to lose.

Pick — Williams (-425). Strycova has a versatile game, but Williams has it all and is a huge favorite in this semifinal on the money line in the Wimbledon Tennis Odds.

Djokovic

Djokovic Favored on Men’s Side

Unlike the women’s side, three of the four semifinalists are the top seeds in the tournament and the pre-tournament favorites on the Wimbledon Men’s Odds. The semis will be played Friday, July 12.

#1 Novak Djokovic -1200 vs. Roberto Bautista Agut +700

These are uncharted waters for Bautista Agut. The 31-year-old Spanish pro has never made it out of the quarter-finals in any Grand Slam event, let alone the semis at Wimbledon. Now, he takes on the giant of the sport in Djokovic.

Bautista Agut’s forehand is where he can do the most damage to Djokovic, so look for the 15-time Grand Slam winner to pick on his backhand.

Pick — Djokovic (-1200). No giant killer here.

#2 Roger Federer +110 vs. #3 Rafael Nadal -140

Talk about a clash of the titans. These two superstars have won a combined 10 Wimbledon titles and 38 Grand Slam championships.

Nadal has the confidence of a recent victory over Federer at the French. Although it’s just about impossible to bet against Federer on grass, Nadal has looked in top form this week.

Pick — Nadal (-140). This could have all the makings of the memorable 2008 final when Nadal outlasted Federer in five unbelievable sets.

Predictions for Overall Champion

Pick — Djokovic (-150). Djokovic has won three of the last five and four of the last eight men’s championships at Wimbledon. He has the overpowering game to continue that run on Center Court.

Pick — Williams (+100). There’s nothing Williams hasn’t seen at the All England Club. An opponent might take a game or even a set off the seven-time champion, but she is playing some of her best tennis since returning from maternity leave.
