Saints And Panthers Meet For NFC South Tilt Amidst Ugly Season For Division

It has been one ugly season this year for the entire NFC South. Every single team is under the .500 mark heading into week 14. The Saints are tied with the Falcons at 5-7 for first in the South. It is a shame that one of these teams will be in the playoffs with what could be a record under .500. The Saints will host the Panthers on Sunday afternoon in the hopes of moving their record to 6-7 and remaining in first place, or at least tied for the lead. We are going to put our money down on the host Saints on Sunday.

New Orleans could have offensive field-day tomorrow

The Saints have such an explosive offense and Sunday will not be any exception. Facing a Panthers team that has a point differential of -103, the Saints offense will be looking to strike early and often against their division rivals. New Orleans will need to find a way to stop Cam Newton and Kelvin Benjamin in order to secure a sixth victory on the season. The Saints defense is ranked 31st in the league coming into this contest.

Carolina closing in on longest winless streak in 12 years

After sitting atop the NFC South after week five, the Panthers have gone 0-6-1. A loss on Sunday to the Saints would send the Panthers to their longest winless streak since going 0-8 a dozen years ago. Since week three of the season, the Panthers have allowed a league-worst average of 31.0 points per game. Their offense has averaged just 14.0 points per game over the last five played.

There is no way to know if the Saints will actually win this game with the Panthers, but they sure have the talent on offense to make it happen. The more important question is if the defense can hold. We will bet 10 percent of our bankroll at BetOnline.ag on the Saints and the -10 (-105) spread as they remain in first place in the South.
