Marlins Travel to Face Giants in Game One of Four-Game Set Out West
- Category :
The Giants are enjoying the first two months of the season, jumping out to a 3.5-game lead in the West over the Rockies. They have outscored their opponents by 29 runs so far and have the most wins in the National League. The Marlins come to town on Thursday night for the first of four games between these cross-country rivals. We like the Giants and their suddenly hot offense to grab the win over the Marlins in front of their home fans.
Giants loving life atop the NL West
San Francisco has played well at home of late, but have struggled at AT&T Park against the Marlins. The Giants have won 10 of their last 13 home games overall, but have lost 10 of their last 11 at home to the Marlins. San Francisco has also won 15 of their last 20 games played this season. They were shutout against Atlanta 5-0, but then rebounded with a 15-hit performance in a 10-4 drubbing of the Braves. Matt Cain will try his luck at recording his first win of the season once again. This is his second start since coming off the disabled list.
Marlins love to play in AT&T Park
Miami has enjoyed playing out West against San Francisco of late, winning 10 of 11 games played in AT&T Park. Miami has shown flashes of brilliance this year, but also signs of being a very young, inexperienced team. Giancarlo Stanton is hitting .297 with three home runs against Cain during a 16-game hitting streak. He is the best bat in the Marlins lineup and it seems as though opponents have not figured out how to solve him yet.
The sportsbook found at Bovada.lv is where we are going to research the odds for the Giants and the Marlins from the West Coast. We will drop 15 percent of our bankroll on the host Giants as we lay the line of -1.5 (+165) on Thursday night. Enjoy this coast-to-coast rivalry as the Marlins come to town for four games.
