Islanders And Sharks Meet in San Jose Saturday Night in Battle of Struggling Teams

After a strong start to the season, the Islanders have fallen back down to Earth and played much like they did last season. San Jose has also struggled of late after a strong start to the season. Both of these teams will look to get back on track when they meet at the SAP Center in San Jose late Saturday night. We are going to put our money down on the host Sharks as they send the Islanders to a fifth loss this season.

Sharks trying to rebound from tough stretch

San Jose opened the 2014-2015 NHL season with 4-0-1 record. Then, they dropped four straight games before winning two in a row. Their most recent game was a shootout loss to the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night to give them a record of 6-4-2, which is good for 14 points. Despite their recent struggles, the Sharks are tied for second place in the Pacific Division with three other teams and are just four points out of first place.

Islanders looking more like last year’s club of late

New York began the season with four straight wins, shocking pretty much everyone in the league, including some of their own fans. After the 4-0-0 start, the Islanders have gone 2-4 to drop their record to 6-4-0, good for 12 points. There is quite a logjam at the top of the Metropolitan Division in the Eastern Conference, which has prevented the Islanders from slipping in the standings. New York is currently in second place, just one point behind Pittsburgh.

On Saturday night, we will put our money down at BetOnline.ag when the Sharks host the Islanders. We are going to drop 15 percent of our bankroll on the host Sharks as they drop the Islanders with the UNDER 5.5 total goals scored at -102 and move closer to the top of the division standings.
