Falcons Look to Bury Buccaneers Early in Season in Tough NFC South Division

Even though it is only week three of the season, Tampa Bay is in a lot of trouble. Their passing game is non-existent, which has caused them to start the year with an 0-2 record. Things will not get any easier for the Buccaneers, who travel to face the Falcons on Thursday night for an NFC South content. Atlanta is 1-1, but has allowed the most yards in the entire NFL in their first two games. The Falcons will look to put the Buccaneers in a serious hole to start the season as we back them to win this game.

Falcons hope return home solves defensive struggles

Atlanta has allowed 472 yards in each of its first two games of the 2014 season. They were able to win one of those games, but fell to Cincinnati 24-10 in week two. Matt Ryan struggled in the loss to the Bengals, throwing three interceptions to just one touchdown. He completed just 24 passes out of 44 attempted. He needs to get back on track if Atlanta wants to win this game.

Buccaneers begin yet another season winless

For the second straight year, the Buccaneers have started the regular season without a win. Last year, the Bucs dropped their first eight games. This year, they have lost their first two contests and could very well begin 0-3. The passing game in Tampa Bay needs to get better as Josh McCown has already thrown three interceptions. The unit is averaging just 168.5 passing yards this season.

Even with a new head coach and a new quarterback, the Buccaneers have picked up where they left off last year. Atlanta still has yet to win back-to-back games since the end of the 2012 season. Both of these teams had disappointing 2013 seasons, but Atlanta should be better in 2014. We will drop 10 percent of our bankroll at SportsBetting.ag on Atlanta and the -6.5 (+100) spread as they win their second game of the season and drop Tampa Bay to an 0-3 start.
