Boston Looks to Move Closer to First in East as Twins Visit Fenway Tuesday

The Red Sox have not enjoyed this season aside from their ring ceremony earlier in the year. They are 32-38 and 8.5 games out of first in the AL East. They are in fourth place, ahead of only Tampa Bay. After grabbing a 1-0 win against the Twins in game one of this series on Monday night, the Red Sox look for the series victory on Tuesday night at Fenway Park when Jon Lester takes the mound. We will back Boston at home over Minnesota.

Boston desperately trying to find a winning method

Boston is in desperate need of putting together a ton of wins if they want to move back into contention in the AL East one season after winning the World Series. The Red Sox won on Monday night 1-0, which has been the story of their season. The offense has struggled mightily and the pitching has been hot and cold. Boston is 8.5 games behind Toronto for first place in the East as tonight’s games get underway.

Minnesota sitting in basement of Central division

Minnesota has a 32-36 record this year, which is good for a better winning percentage than the Red Sox right now. The Twins are just five games out of first in the Central due to the recent struggles of the division-leading Tigers. The Twins will send Phil Hughes to the mound looking for his eighth win of the season. He is 7-2 with an ERA of 3.17. He is making his first start in Boston as a member of the Twins. He pitched for seven seasons with the Yankees.

Our bets will be placed at Sportsbook.ag on Tuesday night for the AL game featuring the Twins and the Red Sox from Fenway Park. We are going to drop 15 percent of our bankroll on the host Red Sox and the UNDER eight total runs scored at -105 as they grab a second straight win over the Twins tonight.
