Athletics Try For Series Victory Against Division-Rival Astros Wednesday

When the games on the MLB schedule for Wednesday begin, the A’s and Astros will be preparing for another fun battle in an AL West contest. These teams have split the first two games of this three-game series, but Oakland will go for the series win in the finale tonight. Houston has other plans, as they look to win another thriller against their division rivals. Oakland is in dire need of another win as they chase Los Angeles in the standings, which is why we will bet on them to win this game.

Oakland fighting for first place in the AL West

After leading the West for most of the season, the Athletics have experience a hiccup lately that has dropped them out of first and one-game behind the Angels for the top spot. They will send Drew Pomeranz to the mound tonight to grab the series victory against the Astros at Minute Maid Park. He is making his first start since June 16 for the A’s, which is the same day he broke his hand.

Astros riding high after thrilling win Tuesday night

Chris Carter has 32 home runs this season and each one he hits is more majestic than the last. His 32nd home run came in game two of this series with the A’s in the eighth inning. Houston was trailing 2-1. His blast was a three-run job that gave the Astros a 4-2 win. Brad Peacock will take the mound for the Astros tonight after leaving his last start with discomfort in his throwing arm.

The Athletics cannot afford to lose a series to the struggling Astros, especially since they are only one-game out of first in the AL West. They will look to win the series tonight as we place our wager at SportsBetting.ag. We will bet 10 percent of our bankroll on Oakland as we lay the line of -1.5 (-105) on Wednesday night in Houston.
