Astros Playing Well With Help of Rookie Phenoms as Rays Come to Town

The Houston Astros have been surprising everyone in the Major Leagues this season. They are still just 31-38 this year and are 10 games out of first in the AL West because of the hot start Oakland has enjoyed. But, they are giving their fans something to be excited about for the first time in years. With sluggers George Springer and Jonathan Singleton in the lineup, the Astros are having fun. We like them to take down Tampa Bay tonight at home.

Astros putting on power show each night

George Springer made it to the show before Jonathan Singleton did. But, both are in Houston at the same time now and are sending balls over the fence to the excitement of their fans. Singleton has four home runs in just 11 games in the Majors this year while Springer has 12 bombs in 50 games. Houston fans have a lot to look forward to this season and in the coming seasons with a ton of young talent.

Rays sending Archer to the mound to stymie Astros

Tampa Bay will ask Chris Archer to continue his hot streak and stymie the Astros offense, which had been average 4.9 runs per game prior to scoring just one on Friday night against the Rays. Over his last five starts, Archer has an ERA of 0.87 with 33 strikeouts in 31 innings pitched. He struggled in his first eight starts of the season, to the tune of a 5.16 ERA. Despite the stellar pitching, Archer is just 1-1 because he has received just three runs of support.

Tampa Bay and Houston collide in a battle of last-place teams on Saturday, but feature plenty of young talent for fans to get excited about this year. We will place our money on the Astros at home and the UNDER 8 total runs scored at -125 over at SportsBetting.ag as Houston takes the victory.
