Angels Out to Finish Four-Game Sweep of Rangers in Arlington Sunday

The Texas Rangers are far from a playoff team this season and the Angels are proving that this weekend. Game four of this series will be played on Sunday afternoon in Arlington and the Angels are one win from a huge sweep as they try to keep pace with Oakland in the AL West. They have won four straight games and are just 1.5 games behind the A’s for the top spot in the West, which is why we like the Angels on Sunday afternoon.

Angels burrying the Rangers in the standings

Los Angeles has been on an incredible surge of late, winning four straight and nine of their last ten games played. They have been able to bury the Rangers in the standings, who are pretty much done this season. Los Angeles is probably not happy to see the All-Star break due to their hot streak, but they will use it to take a rest and get some guys healthy. Tyler Skaggs takes the hill today for Los Angeles.

Rangers season all but over early in July

Texas is 20 games out of first place in the AL West with no hope of moving up soon. They are behind the Astros and sit in last place in the division. Texas has lost seven straight games and have won just a single game played in their last ten. The makeshift rotation for the Rangers will send Scott Baker to the mound on Sunday afternoon as he replaces Phil Irwin, who was demoted to Triple-A.

We will place our MLB bets Sunday afternoon at Bovada.lv, where the Angels are favored to win this game on the road. We are going to drop 15 percent of our bankroll on the red-hot Angels and the -175 money line as they sweep this four-game set from the Rangers before the All-Star break.
